House of Verra – Terms of Service

Welcome to House of Verra. These Terms of Service govern your use of House of Verra LLC, including the physical studio space, booking services, classes, workshops, private rentals, events, and all related offerings. By booking, attending, or participating in any offering at House of Verra, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

House of Verra is an intentionally curated space designed to support practices that invite presence, embodiment, reconnection, and mindful gathering. These Terms ensure a safe, respectful, and harmonious environment for everyone.

1. Eligibility & Admission

  • Participants must be at least 18 years of age to book and attend classes or sessions, unless class is specified to be approved for youth and there is parental consent.

  • Guests under age 18 may attend only with signed consent from legal guardian. The Minor Participant Consent & Liability Waiver is available upon request by contacting houseofverra@gmail.com.

  • We reserve the right to refuse participation or entry for any reason, including behavior that is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful.

2. Booking & Registration

  • All classes, workshops, events, and private rental reservations must be booked through our official booking platform (Acuity) or as otherwise stated by House of Verra.

  • Availability is limited; bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • It is the participant’s responsibility to manage their own booking and ensure the correct date, time, and offering are selected.

3. Billing Authorization

By adding a payment method, you authorize House of Verra and our processors (Stripe, Quickbooks, etc.) to charge you for services.

Failed Payments

If payment fails, access may be suspended until the balance is resolved.

4. Payment & Refund Policy

General Class Cancellations:

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Cancel at least 12 hours before class to avoid penalties.

  • Late cancellations (less than 12 hours before class) or no-shows will not be refundable

  • No refunds will be issued for missed classes or no-shows.

  • Credits may be offered at our discretion on a case-by-case basis, but are not guaranteed.

Private Training Cancellations:

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before your session to avoid penalties.

  • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows:

    • You will be charged the full session fee

All sales are final. Classes and private sessions are not available for transfer or exchange and cannot be shared amongst clients.

5. Late Arrival Policy

  • Participants are expected to arrive on time. We honor a 5 minute grace period but after that period, late arrivals may be denied entry into studio in order to preserve respectful environment for other students.

  • Participants who arrive beyond the 5 minute grace period and are not able to take a class due to late arrival will not be eligible for a refund.

6. Studio Etiquette

House of Verra is a space intended for calm, presence, and intentional engagement. By entering the Studio, you agree to the following:

  • Arrive with presence: Arrive a few minutes before scheduled start time and enter quietly.

  • Cell phones: We want you to drop in and take this time for you. Phones and devices should be turned off or silenced and kept outside the practice space during offerings. V

  • Respectful conduct: Please refrain from loud side conversations during classes, interruptions, or disruptive behavior.

  • Shoe policy: Outdoors shoes must be removed upon entering the main studio space unless otherwise noted for a special event or photoshoot.

  • Clean space: Participants are expected to leave the space as they found it and handle props and furnishings with care.

7. Conduct & Safety

House of Verra maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, inappropriate conduct, or behavior that jeopardizes the safety or comfort of others. This includes:

  • Harassment or discrimination of any kind

  • Inappropriate physical contact or violation of personal boundaries

  • Recording audio, photo, or video without explicit consent from class facilitator or event coordinator

  • Disruptive or unsafe actions

Anyone violating these expectations may be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Participants acknowledge that they engage at their own risk and agree to release House of Verra, its staff, and facilitators from any liability arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Health, Medical Conditions & Participation

  • Participation is at your own risk. Classes and events may include physical movement, breathwork, sound, or reflective practices.

  • House of Verra facilitators are not providing medical or therapeutic treatment unless explicitly stated in a written agreement.

  • If you have medical conditions, injuries, are pregnant, or have health concerns, please consult a qualified professional before participating.

  • You alone are responsible for modifying or discontinuing participation if needed.

  • By participating, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for your own well-being, and agree to release House of Verra, its staff, and facilitators from liability, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9. Liability Waiver

  • By participating in any class, workshop, event, or use of the House of Verra space, you acknowledge that your participation is voluntary and at your own risk. You agree to our liability waiver that asserts that House of Verra, its staff, and facilitators are not liable for any injury, loss, or damages that may occur before, during, or after your engagement with our offerings in our facility.

10. Photography & Media

  • Photography or video recording may occasionally take place at House of Verra during select public events, workshops, or designated promotional gatherings for marketing and communication purposes.

  • Photography and recording are not permitted during classes, workshops, or private sessions unless explicitly communicated in advance and consent is obtained from all participants involved.

  • House of Verra deeply values privacy, presence, and the integrity of the experiences held within the space. Any media captured will be respectful, non-intrusive, and never shared in a way that compromises personal comfort or confidentiality.

  • By attending events where photography has been disclosed in advance, you acknowledge and consent to the potential use of non-identifying images for House of Verra’s promotional materials. Guests may always opt out by notifying staff prior to the event.

  • During private events, photography, video, or audio recording is governed by the event host and their guests. House of Verra does not restrict media use during private rentals unless otherwise specified in writing.

11. Private Rentals & Practitioner Usage

For practitioners, teachers, and facilitators renting the space:

  • You agree to hold appropriate certifications, training, and insurance for the modalities you offer.

  • You are responsible for your clients, guests, and activities during your rental timeslot.

  • The space must be returned to its original condition following rental period.

  • Any damage, extra cleaning, or replacement costs will be billed to the renter.

  • Renter assumes all liability for their clients/guests and indemnifies House of Verra for any claims arising from rental activities

12. Private Events & Gatherings

House of Verra may be reserved for private events, photoshoots, workshops, small ceremonies, and gatherings that align with the spirit of the space. All private events must:

  • Be booked in advance

  • Respect occupancy limits

  • Follow all Studio Etiquette and Conduct requirements

House of Verra reserves the right to decline bookings that are inconsistent with the nature of the space or these Terms.

13. Personal Property & Lost Items

House of Verra is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Please monitor your items and remove them from the Studio at the end of your visit. You may email the studio directly for any items you may have left behind.

14. Cancellation by Studio

House of Verra reserves the right to cancel or reschedule offerings due to low enrollment, facilitator availability, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered a credit or refund.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any legal action arising from or related to these Terms will be brought in the courts of Maryland.

16. Acceptance

By booking, attending, or participating in any offering at House of Verra, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
